AQUAMAT™ MOUSE MATS

The AquaMat™ Mouse mat is a welded mat containing two or three non-mixing coloured liquids, creating an everlasting, stress relieving display. These mouse mats enable your designer to give full reign to imagination and development of a truly unique image.

AquaMat™ Construction. The sunflower oils and glycerine gels used in the AquaMat™ are coloured by dyes commonly used in food and cosmetic industries.  Baby oil is sometimes used when a really clear liquid is required (often when designs are being printed in full colour under the liquids).  During welding, air bubbles are trapped inside the mat so that when the mats are in use, they give the illusion of an extra liquid.  Liquid colour intensity of varies depending on the thickness of the liquid at that point.  Liquids can be Pantone matched but colours may vary slightly from batch to batch.  Additionally, one liquid can also be affected by the colour of another liquid – yellow may appear green if the second liquid colour is blue, for example. 

Extra interest can be created by adding printed inserts to the mats.  These are held suspended in the liquids and can be moved around by the user.  Alternatively, glitter or small metallic shapes can be placed in the mats.  Extra costs apply – please ask for details. The standard size of these mouse mats is 200mm x 235mm or 200mm diameter or coaster size at 98mm x98mm.  

Aquamat™ mousemats can be made in special shapes, but avoid sharp points.  Welding tools are more expensive than cutting forms – if you can forward an outline of the shape required, we can advise costs accordingly. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and some settling of coloured pigments may result in liquids changing colour over time.  The life expectancy of these mouse mats is therefore one year from date of delivery. AquaMats™ may not be suitable for users of optical mice.  Construction and materials used in the AquaMat™ are protected by patent GB2340985. 

AquaMat™ Print Methods. AquaMat™ mouse mats are suitable for both screen printing and full colour print. Print may be placed above or below the liquids or in both positions. Inserts are printed digitally in full colour. Screens are charged at cost, there is no origination charge for full colour print but insert print origination is charged at cost. A pdf to show artwork layout is emailed for approval and printed pre production mats can be produced if required at cost.

Delivery and Packaging. Printed AquaMat™ mousemats are ready for despatch 10 working days from proof approval. The mouse mats are bulk packed as standard and are despatched on a standard carrier service for next day delivery.
