The Ides of March.

Is your mouse sticking on your mouse mat today? Is your PC running slower than usual? Could it be an IDE stuck in the system? See this link to find out

Obviously not, it is all just superstition and you probably need new computer mice and or new mouse mats. A new mat on the block is the HardTop MatRest, not yet on the website, but coming soon. This mat rest incorporates a standard hard top mouse mat and gel rest. They are priced inclusive of an individual box and so make perfect business gifts. Watch this space for more details or email us for info at

Chocolate templates for Brite-Mat mouse mats

I have just spent 10 minutes wittering on about chocolate, or choclit as the grand daughter would have it, for another blog on another site and it occurred to me that here is an opportunity to mention the brite-mat mouse mat templates once more. Amongst the range of free templates there is a very tempting full colour picture of some very delicious looking chocolates, in fact they look so real it is almost possible to smell and taste them. With Easter coming up this template could be very useful for a seasonal printed mouse mat gift. If on the other hand you would simply prefer to give sweets or chocolates as a business gift then visit this website for some delicious ideas.

The Brite-Mat and Printed Mouse Mat Templates

Sometimes we have enquiries from clients who want to purchase mousemats printed with their company logo or message but they do not have the facilities for producing a design for their mat. For just this reason we have available 12 template designs for use with the Brite-Mat. The templates are free to use and text, company logo or calendar can be added, but please remember to point out that the client will be charged for the number of colours used in the design they have chosen. It is always worth reiterating that Brite-mats are the only mouse mats especially developed for use with optical mice and they also work perfectly well with standard balled mice.

Mouse mats and inspiration

Looking for inspiration this morning and casting around in my usual fashion for a hook upon which to hang this piece I came across this quotation from Marcus Aurelius’s Meditations:
‘Avoid public schools, hire good private teachers and accept that the resulting costs are money well spent.’ No changes there then in the last eighteen centuries.
On the BBC radio 4 Today programme this morning I heard a report from a recent survey which suggested that a horrifyingly large number of children thought that Gandalf really existed and had a part to play in our history!! Perhaps the Labour Government should look at what Marcus has to say about education and its purpose ie teaching children to read and write properly and helping them to acquire some genuine knowledge about the world and its history.
Well I don’t know what any of that has to do with mouse mats, like many people of my age I am really angry about the waste over the last 20 years of time, money, energy, goodwill, and hope for the future. Both the Conservative and Labour parties seem to be incapable of getting a grip on the problems. There will be no future for us if the politicians get it wrong again. Our children and grand children are as bright and intelligent and as hungry for knowledge as any of my generation were at their age, but they are being denied access to two millennia of human skills, crafts and thinking. Our descendants will not understand the world they live in or know how to cope with the problems that they will undoubtedly inherit from us. Poor world, poor children.

PhotoMat mouse mats

Yesterday I posted a small snippet of information about how it is possible for clients to customise mouse mats using the See Through type of mat and I completely forgot to mention the Photo Mat which is very similar. The Photo Mat is rather like a photograph frame, as the name implies, with a central transparent plastic area left unprinted and a pocket in the foam base so company printed inserts can be added. A very neat idea if I may say so. The perimeter of the frame can be printed in the usual way. For samples call us or email

See Through Mouse Mats

The see-through mouse mat is perfect for customers who want to customise the mats to provide important company details. If corporate information is subject to frequent change a standard printed hard top mat would be redundant within a few months or even weeks. The see through mat has a clear mark resist flap beneath which printed paper can be inserted and there is space for company branding at the head of the mat. This mat is an ideal solution for many busy companies. Call us for a sample or email
